Why did you choose your topic?

I wanted to talk about ways to improve user experience with automation because it’s something our team supports for clients on a daily basis. Our company, Uncanny Owl, also released an automation plugin a few months ago.

What do you want people to learn from your session?

Attendees will learn about the value automation can add both to the admin and user experience, and just how easy it can be to incorporate simple automation workflows on a WordPress site.

Why did you decide to speak?

I’m speaking primarily to promote knowledge sharing and to raise awareness of what’s possible with automation. It’s also a way for us to connect with the local WordPress community, which we don’t do often enough.

What brought you to WordPress in the first place?

My partner and I started with WordPress in 2013 as a way to showcase our eLearning work. Within a few years we stopped instructional design work and built out a team to focus exclusively on making eLearning better and easier with WordPress.

What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Toronto?

I’m looking forward to connecting with the local WordPress community and sharing some of what we’ve learned as a plugin vendor and developer of WordPress sites.

Any advice for other WordCamp Toronto attendees?
